Biography

Myles LaRoda

Progress in Pinewood means completing the Pinewood Community Center, advancing the long-awaited drainage system to eliminate flooding, finishing road and park upgrades, and expanding employment and empowerment opportunities so families can thrive. Born in New Providence and raised between Crooked Island and New Providence, my journey—from working in the hospitality and casino industry as a Table Games Pit Manager, to pursuing higher education in law and being called to the Bar of England and Wales and The Bahamas in 2006—has been defined by discipline, service, and perseverance. In September 2021, I was honored to be elected to represent Pinewood and to serve in Cabinet as Minister of Social Services, Information and Broadcasting.
