I am Zane Lightbourne, Progressive Liberal Party candidate for Yamacraw. I am running to continue delivering real, measurable progress for the people of Yamacraw and to ensure our community remains on a path of sustainable growth and opportunity. This work matters now more than ever because strong leadership, environmental stewardship, and community-focused development are essential foundations for the next generation to build upon. I serve as Minister of Environment and Natural Resources and bring a strong background in education and public service. My leadership is focused on protecting our natural environment, advancing sustainable development, and expanding opportunities for young people and families. Progress for Yamacraw means safer streets, modern infrastructure, stronger community programs, and expanded opportunities for our youth. It also means ensuring that every family feels supported, empowered, and confident about their future.

Through expanded STEM programs, agricultural initiatives, mentorships, and scholarship opportunities, we are opening doors for our young people to become globally competitive and ready for leadership roles.
Creating Economic Opportunities for Small Businesses In Yamacraw
Through the creation of a Yamacraw Business and Skills Registry, we will help small businesses get noticed by promoting business fairs, partnerships, and local economic activity.

Yamacraw Farmers and Craft Market
Established the Yamacraw Farmers Market and expanded it to include a Craft Market, creating opportunities for farmers and small business owners to promote and sell their products.
Yamacraw Controlled Transfer Station
Implemented a structured bulk waste transfer station that minimizes illegal dumping and provides residents with a safe, organized solution for waste disposal, promoting a cleaner environment.
Youth STEM & Hydroponics Agricultural Program
Launched youth initiatives focused on STEM education and hydroponic agriculture, equipping young people with hands-on skills aligned with innovation and sustainability.
Community Health & Wellness Engagement
Introduced health and wellness initiatives including fun runs, screenings, Zumba sessions, and a Mobile Outdoor Gym to promote active lifestyles and strengthen community well-being.
