Biography

Julian G. Gibson is a broadcaster entrepreneur and community leader whose career reflects a lifelong commitment to national pride youth development and grassroots engagement. A proud son of South Andros he has dedicated decades to uplifting communities through leadership mentorship and public communication.

Julian built a distinguished career in broadcasting serving for more than fifteen years as a sports journalist and national broadcaster with ZNS. During this time he delivered dynamic coverage of Bahamian and international sporting events including the Central American and Caribbean Games Pan American Games and CARIFTA competitions. His work helped elevate national appreciation for Bahamian athletes while promoting sports culture and youth participation across the islands.

In addition to his media career Julian has demonstrated strong business leadership. He currently serves as Manager of Last Stop Gas Station and Convenience Store in South Andros where he oversees operations financial management vendor coordination and customer service. Earlier in his career he also supported restaurant operations management in Eleuthera gaining valuable experience in small business development and operational efficiency.

Julian’s leadership extends deeply into community and youth development. He has served as President of the Youth Basketball Association and First Vice President of the Bahamas Basketball Federation. He founded the New Roots Junkanoo Group the Sawyers Destroyers Softball Team and organized annual summer basketball camps focused on mentorship discipline and opportunity for young people.

His volunteerism includes service on the South Andros Homecoming Regatta Committee co founding the South Andros Rescue Association and active involvement in church and community initiatives. Through both traditional media and digital platforms he has consistently used his voice to inform engage and inspire.

Julian G. Gibson offers himself for service guided by a belief in national unity youth empowerment and community driven leadership dedicated to building a stronger more connected Bahamas.
