Biography

Jay Philippe is a media professional, community advocate, and public servant who has dedicated his career to informing, empowering, and uplifting Bahamian communities. His work reflects a strong commitment to public service, youth development, and national progress grounded in real-world experience and community engagement.

He formerly served as News Editor at the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas, where he played a key role in shaping national dialogue by ensuring accurate, fair, and responsible reporting. Through his work in broadcasting and as a Sports360 talk show host, Jay amplified community voices, highlighted youth and sports development, and promoted informed public discussion on issues affecting everyday Bahamian families.

Previously, Jay served as Assistant Manager at the Ministry of Tourism, where he supported the attraction of international sporting events and helped develop cultural and community-based initiatives that created jobs, strengthened local economies, and expanded opportunities for Bahamians. His focus has consistently been on ensuring that national development delivers tangible benefits at the community level.

Jay has also devoted years to education and youth mentorship as a teacher and championship- winning basketball coach. With professional experience spanning media, public service,

education, hospitality, and sports administration, Jay brings a practical understanding of how government decisions affect everyday lives. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Management and believes that transparent leadership, economic opportunity, and respect for communities must guide national development.
