Biography
Heather W. McDonald is an entrepreneur, educator, and community leader whose career reflects a commitment to service, innovation, and youth empowerment. Born and raised in Grand Bahama, she is a proud graduate of St. George’s High School, where her Jaguar pride first shaped her drive for excellence and leadership.
With more than 15 years of experience across the corporate, legal, and educational sectors, Ms. McDonald has built a reputation for bridging business acumen with community service. She holds a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Leadership and Innovation from Edinburgh Napier University, an Associate of Arts in Law and Criminal Justice, and certifications in Mediation and Life Coaching.
She is the Founder and Managing Director of HWM Corporate Services, where she has helped small and medium-sized businesses grow through strategic planning, branding, and development. As Co-Founder of HD Media Bahamas, she has directed creative campaigns for organizations across the country. Ms. McDonald also serves as a Lecturer at Bahamas Baptist University College, where she teaches Marketing, Economics of Emerging Markets, and Operations Management, equipping students to apply theory to practice.
Her work as a licensed Mediator extends her leadership into conflict resolution, where she has successfully handled cases in litigation, labour, estates, and domestic disputes. Beyond her professional career, she is deeply committed to youth development. She founded the Bold & Beautiful Foundation in 2018 to mentor young women and serves as a District Manager in the Youth Empowerment Program. She is also a recognized speaker and trainer, leading seminars on leadership, personal growth, and professional development.
