Biography
Captain Travis L. Robinson is a proven leader, entrepreneur, and tourism professional who made history as the youngest elected Member of Parliament in The Bahamas and the Caribbean at just 22 years old, representing the Bain and Grants Town constituency. During his tenure, he served as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation, advancing initiatives to strengthen the nation’s leading industry.
A passionate advocate for youth empowerment, Captain Robinson founded the Rising Star Organization, a mentorship network dedicated to equipping young male leaders with the skills, values, and vision to succeed. His leadership has earned him international recognition, including the One Young World Politician of the Year Award in 2018 and selection to the United Nations’ Most Influential People of African Descent Class of 2019.
Captain Robinson is the founder of Consult Tourism Bahamas Ltd., a consultancy providing strategic services to the tourism sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management from the University of The Bahamas and has represented the country globally as part of the United States Embassy’s International Visitor Leadership Program.
In addition to his political and business achievements, Captain Robinson is a licensed commercial pilot, operating corporate and charter flights throughout The Bahamas and North America. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Aviation and Aerospace Management at Purdue University with a focus on airport development and airline operations.
