Biography

Born and raised in Cooper’s Town, Abaco, Terrece Bootle has dedicated her life to education, public service, and the empowerment of Bahamian communities. From the classroom to local government, Terrece has consistently demonstrated the strong leadership and commitment that Abaco needs now more than ever.

As the first woman from Abaco appointed as a Family Island Administrator, Terrece has broken barriers and set new standards for leadership. Her tenure includes decades of experience in education and public service, a proven record of excellence, and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our communities. Terrece has served with distinction across The Bahamas, including in San Salvador, Long Island, and North Abaco, earning national recognition for her humanitarian service and resilience in the face of crises like Hurricanes Joaquin and Dorian. Her leadership in recovery efforts has been instrumental in helping communities rebuild stronger and more united.

Terrece’s journey began at S.C. Bootle High School where, as Head Girl in 1994, she demonstrated the early leadership qualities that have defined her career. After earning a Teacher’s Certificate, an Associate’s degree, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the College of The Bahamas (now University of The Bahamas), Terrece returned to the classroom, teaching at Sir Jack Hayward High School in Grand Bahama and S.C. Bootle High School, where she inspired and mentored countless young Bahamians.

As a proud daughter of Abaco and the youngest of seven children of Eleanor and Everette Bootle, Terrece knows firsthand the values of hard work, community, and perseverance. She understands the unique needs of Family Island communities and the importance of responsive, inclusive governance. Terrece is ready to bring her vision, experience, and compassionate leadership home to Abaco.

At a time when Abaco needs bold, experienced, and compassionate leadership, Terrece Bootle stands ready to lead. Her campaign is built on a foundation of service, resilience, and a vision for a stronger, more vibrant Abaco.
