Biography

A young woman fueled by passion and purpose, Philippa Kelly has always been guided by a genuine love for the people of Central and South Eleuthera. Her life’s work and legacy of service have earned her the distinction of being called a bridge builder between generations; a title that reflects her deep commitment to unity, progress, and community empowerment.

Born and raised in Savannah Sound, Eleuthera, Philippa is a proud graduate of Central Eleuthera High School. She later moved to Nassau to study Marketing Management at Success Training College and pursued additional studies in Project Management and Business Communication.

Philippa serves several pivotal roles within her community. She is a devoted member of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera, the Local Government Chairperson of Savannah Sound (serving consecutive terms), an executive member of the Bahamas Softball Federation, and the former Deputy Chief Councilor for Central Eleuthera. Her transparent and inclusive style of leadership enables her to connect across social, economic, and generational lines, empowering individuals, and inspiring collective action.

Deeply anchored in her faith, Philippa is a longtime member of Mother Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Savannah Sound, where she serves faithfully as the Lay President. Her passion for mentorship and spiritual guidance has left a lasting impact on the island’s youth.

Philippa’s efforts are well known across Eleuthera. Whether supporting the elderly, championing youth initiatives, or responding to urgent community needs, she consistently gives her time, talent, and resources to uplift others. Well known within Eleuthera’s sporting community, Philippa is not only a competitive athlete, but also a coach and sponsor, investing in the next generation of athletes while fostering discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.

Philippa is the General Manager of North Windermere Development, a role she has held with distinction for several years, contributing to sustainable growth and regional development. She also has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Philippa is a proud mother of two beautiful children, whose lives reflect her values of determination, compassion, and service.
