Biography

Dr. Nicholas Fox is a seasoned medical professional, entrepreneur, and community leader whose life has been defined by resilience, compassion, and a relentless commitment to public service. As the co-owner of The Medi-Center Group Clinics in Nassau, Dr. Fox has spent over three decades serving Bahamian families with accessible, patient-centered care.

Born and raised in Fox Hill, Dr. Fox’s journey is a true testament to perseverance and purpose. He began his education at St. Augustine’s College (SAC), graduating in 1979, and went on to pursue higher education at St. Leo University in Florida, where he earned both an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Chemistry. He later earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Ross University School of Medicine in 1988 and completed his internship at Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH). He went on to serve as a Senior House Officer at PMH from 1990 to 1998, gaining hands-on experience across various departments and building deep ties within the healthcare system.

Committed to continual learning and public health advancement, Dr. Fox later obtained a Master’s Degree in Sexual Health and Venereology from the University of the West Indies in conjunction with the London School of Venereal Studies in 2012. His work in clinical practice has spanned internal medicine, emergency medicine, and sexual health, positioning him as a trusted voice in both patient care and medical policy advocacy.

Dr. Fox’s journey is also a deeply personal one. A cancer survivor, he knows firsthand the fear, courage, and hope that define the patient experience. His fight did not deter him, but it refined him. It gave him a new purpose. Now, as a Director on the Board of the Cancer Society of The Bahamas, Dr. Fox uses his platform to promote early detection, public education, and greater access to care for all Bahamians, especially the most vulnerable.

Throughout his career, Dr. Fox has been guided by a simple yet powerful belief: “A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.” This philosophy reflects both his personal resilience and professional grit. Whether in the exam room or the community, he brings humility, empathy, and a fearless commitment to doing what is right, no matter how tough the challenge.

Dr. Fox is also a man of deep faith and family values. He is a proud father of two, a devoted member of St. Anselm’s Roman Catholic Church, and a firm believer that service is the highest calling. His calm demeanor, charismatic leadership, and down-to-earth nature have earned him the trust of his patients, peers, and neighbors alike.

As he steps forward as a candidate for the Free National Movement, Dr. Nicholas Fox brings with him not only a wealth of professional expertise but a deep-rooted passion for serving others. His story is one of perseverance, healing, and hope, and he is ready to put that story to work for the people of The Bahamas.
