Jacqueline Penn-Knowles

Dr. Jacqueline Penn-Knowles is a trailblazing Bahamian physician and reproductive health specialist with over 30 years of experience spanning clinical medicine, fertility science, and public service. As the founder of CliniCare in Nassau, she leads a private medical practice that provides comprehensive care in obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive health, including IVF consultation, intrauterine insemination, ultrasound diagnostics, and general family medicine.

Widely recognized as a pioneer in assisted reproductive technology in The Bahamas, Dr. Penn-Knowles was the country’s first IVF Coordinator and has helped shape the field through her training in embryology, andrology, and advanced fertility techniques. Her contributions earned her the Fertility Pioneer Award in 2025 and a longstanding membership in the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Her distinguished medical journey includes years of leadership as a Senior House Officer at Princess Margaret Hospital and extensive work in Jamaican hospitals across specialties like internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and nephrology. She also served as an Embryologist and IVF Coordinator at The Health Centre for Women, where she was instrumental in developing fertility protocols and laboratory systems.

Dr. Penn-Knowles is a graduate of Florida Memorial University (B.S. Biology, Medical Technology minor) and earned her medical degree from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago in the Dominican Republic. She holds a fellowship in Assisted Reproductive Technology from the World Laparoscopy Hospital in India and is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish. She is also an alumna of the Jordan Prince William Baptist School.

Her community service includes active involvement with the Bahamas Cancer Society and Anglican Church Women of St. George’s Parish.
